COMPETITION

Contract Drafting and Negotiation Competition is a competition for law students to emerge their legal writing skills in writing a contract concerning e-commerce. Not only their writing skill, but the participants are also challenged to make and perform a negotiation based on their contract. All universities are allowed to assign of maximum 3 (three) teams, whereas each team consist of 6 (six) members. There will be two round in this competition, the preliminary round of contract submission and 5 teams with the highest score will proceed with the final round in the form of negotiation. Hence, Contract Drafting and Negotiation will challenge the participants’ ability in both writing and negotiation skill.

Pelita Harapan Business Law Competition 2017 is delighted to offer a new and unique opportunity for all passionate Indonesia Law Students to meet, develop, and compete their legal skills towards excellence especially in composing Legal Opinion, which later would be presented before the judges, along with some interactive sessions. For this purpose, PHBLC is affiliated with Robin Sulaiman & Partners to carry out this competition. All universities are allowed to assign of maximum 3 (three) teams, whereas each team consist only of a sole participant.

Moot Competition is a competition for law students in which they are to prepare and deliver their legal arguments in a simulated proceeding of a court or arbitral tribunal. This activity is designed to emphasize the skills necessary for legal research, analysis, writing, and oratory in accord with the specialized field of Indonesian law. Participants are first presented with the facts of a case, based upon which they must construct well-structured written arguments with sound legal basis. For this purpose, participants will need to meticulously explore laws, legislations, as well as domestic and international practices. PHBLC is affiliated with Pusat Studi Hukum Bisnis (PSHB) UPH to carry out this competition. All universities are allowed to assign of maximum 2 (two) teams. Hence, Moot Competition will challenge the participants’ understanding of domestic and international affairs, critical thinking ability, and skills in writing judiciously and coherently.
